"How a Sydney Naturopath Cured Herself and Hundreds of Clients with a Revolutionary New Program GUARANTEED to Relieve Painful Sore Throats, Swollen Glands, Debilitating Fatigue And Aching Muscles
Once and For All!"

Congratulations! You have reached my site on the amazing secrets to curing mononucleosis naturally. I have put this life-changing web site together to reveal the exact process that I used to beat my own mononucleosis and take back control of my health. I’ve included every step, resource, hint and tip that I discovered along my journey back to good health.

It’s the same tried-and-tested program that has worked successfully with hundreds of my patients at my two Sydney naturopathic clinics.

Here are 7 essential steps to curing mononucleosis naturally.
They are:

Step 1. Replenish the essential vitamins and minerals your body is crying out for
Step 2. Add scientifically proven, powerful herbs to your diet
Step 3. Boost your healing power with sleep
Step 4. Eat for optimal immunity
Step 5. Look after your emotional well being
Step 6. Enjoy the benefits of sunlight and gentle exercise
Step 7. Rid your body of dangerous toxins

Step 1 to treating mononucleosis naturally:

Replenish the essential vitamins and minerals your body needs

Did you know that how well your immune system functions is closely linked to what you eat? Good nutrition, combined with sensible supplementation in the form of vitamins, minerals and essential fats can give you the edge in your recovery from mononucleosis.

The average person doesn’t consume an optimal amount of all nutrients in their diet. In fact, scientific trials indicate that all adults should take supplements, even more so if you’re battling a potentially serious illness like mononucleosis. You see, the amazing human body, when fed the right nutrients in the right amounts can heal itself.

During the initial acute stages of mononucleosis it’s really important to bolster the immune system with nutrients like vitamin A, C, E, zinc and selenium.

Vitamin C.

Vitamin C stimulates the production of the white blood cells that produce antibodies against the Epstein Barr virus - the cause of mononucleosis. It boosts the cells that scavenge your body for the virus and destroy it. Vitamin C is also a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps to reduce an inflamed throat, sore muscles and a swollen liver often associated with mononucleosis.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A, like vitamin C is an antioxidant that defends your cells against free-radicals produced during mononucleosis. It’s essential for the repair of the surface cells that line your mouth, throat and lungs.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is another powerful antioxidant that helps to kill and scavenge the virus that causes mononucleosis. Because it’s fat-soluble it’s contained within the cell membrane, unlike the water soluble nutrients like vitamin C which remain outside the cell.

Zinc is a mineral that stimulates T-cell and antibody production to fight off infection. It stops the Epstein Barr virus from replicating and from entering your cells. Zinc is also a powerful anti-inflammatory.

Here’s a tip. Try sucking on zinc lozenges. This can bring quick relief from the agony of a sore throat.

Selenium is another essential antioxidant that protects the immune system by preventing the formation of free radicals. Supplementation with selenium has been shown to activate white blood cells and reduce inflammation.

Other vital nutrients...

Many mononucleosis patients benefit from taking magnesium, the B complex and Co enzyme Q10 to help recharge their adrenal glands and fight the fatigue of mononucleosis. These nutrients can also help to relax the aching, heavy muscles so common with this illness.

Magnesium is a mineral involved in the cell’s energy production.

It’s always been a best seller in my clinics, not just for my mononucleosis patients, but for everyone. Most patients report a reduced feeling of stress, better sleep, more relaxed muscles and improved stamina.

B complex

The B complex vitamins help support the adrenal glands, which help the body cope with stress. They’re also involved in energy production which makes them essential for people with mononucleosis.

Get a supplement which contains the entire B complex - B1 (thiamin), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine), B12 (cyanocobalamin) and biotin.

Co enzyme Q10

Co enzyme Q10 is a potent antioxidant and plays a really important role in energy production. It helps convert protein, fat and carbohydrates into energy. That’s why it is often referred to as nature’s “energy spark plug”.

Sourcing your nutrients

Because many mononucleosis patients experience a poor appetite and nausea, rather than swallowing handfuls of pills, you may find it easier to take a superior high potency powder with added nutrients. It can be drunk twice daily to provide all your nutritional needs.

The one I recommend is Dr Shallenberger’s Super Immune Quick Start - a tasty protein powder with fantastic amounts of vitamins A, C and E, the B complex, magnesium, zinc and selenium. I still take mine mixed in the blender with some frozen banana or berries for a delicious snack or easy meal to help keep my immune system in tip top condition.

If you’d like more information or want to give the Super Immune Quick Start a try then Click Here.

Or if you suffer from allergies and you want a high potency drink without added milk products, then Click Here to order Super Immune Quick Start 'Hypoallergenic'

The right amounts of nutrients for you will vary according to your age, the severity of your illness and how much food you’re eating. For more specific info check out Chapter 2 in my e-book “Nature’s Amazing Mononucleosis Cures”.

Step 2
Add scientifically proven, powerful healing herbs to your diet

There are some super powerful herbs which you can take to boost your immune system and lessen your recovery time from mononucleosis.

Garlic, echinacea and astragalus are all anti viral herbs that you can add to your diet or take as teas, tinctures or capsules.

To help the liver, spleen and lymphatic system, the herbs milk thistle and red root are traditionally used.

If you have a lot of mucous in your respiratory tract then garlic, horseradish, fenugreek, sage and thyme are particularly good.

For those with a lot of inflammation like a sore throat or painful, inflamed muscles then ginger and turmeric are powerful anti-inflammatories which can help ease the pain. I used to mix grated ginger and a teaspoon of turmeric into some honey and sip slowly. It worked beautifully on my sore throat.

For high fevers, coriander tea or cleavers can reduce the temperature and make you feel a little more comfortable. For recipes and dosages on the recommended amounts of herbs used for mononucleosis it’s best to consult with a qualified herbalist. And you can also refer to Chapter 2 in my e-book “Nature’s Amazing Mononucleosis Cures”.

Step 3 - The Healing Power of Sleep

It is estimated that over 60% of Westerners are chronically sleep deprived. This is a worry because inadequate sleep is known to decrease the number and effectiveness of natural killer cells - the white blood cells that kill the Epstein Barr virus.

It’s no coincidence that many of my patients report that their mononucleosis began during or after a period of intense stress and the sleep deprivation that accompanies it. Stress may be the final, busy years of school, the pressures of university exams, the challenges of a new job, long hours at work, the loss of a job, the birth of a baby or the death of a loved one.

Picking up a virus like Epstein Barr is when the stress catches up on the body. In really bad cases some people find that they can’t get out of bed, their body is racked by muscle aches and pains, they have constant nausea, a raging sore throat, painful swollen glands and feelings of being helpless and totally overwhelmed.

Unfortunately without taking the time out to rest the body and rebuild the stress-coping chemicals, the body will never fully recover. I have seen far too many patients who try to push through their symptoms and struggle with daily life, only to find that they end up with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or fibromyalgia - a chronic condition of fatigue and muscle pain.

If you are recovering from mononucleosis it is essential that you get at least 8 - 10 hours sleep a night. This is when your body produces growth hormone which help repairs your body.

Resolve to get to bed at a reasonable time - preferably by 10 p.m., and no later than 11 p.m.

During the day, a power nap of 30 - 60 minutes will help recharge your batteries and magnify your body’s healing powers.

PS. Many mononucleosis patients are so exhausted that rest and sleep is about all they can do! However it is the quality of sleep that really counts. The majority of patients go into a light, restless sleep punctuated with nightmares and bad dreams, as fevers run their course. They wake up exhausted, unrefreshed and feeling just plain awful.

If this sounds like you, you need to work with the simple natural therapies that help you enjoy a deep, rejuvenating, unbroken sleep. Join my Mononucleosis Support Program to get all the information you need to turn your sleep patterns around.

Step 4 - Eating for Optimal Immunity

Okay, so you knew I was going to talk about food sooner or later! But the good news is that I’m not going to force you to start counting calories, fat grams or carbohydrate grams.

What I want to do is give you some simple but devastatingly effective diet tips. They’ll supercharge your immune system and get you over mononucleosis fast.

Firstly your immune-boosting diet should include some high quality protein foods with each meal. They’re essential for cell health and repair and to form a healthy immune system. Protein rich foods include chicken, fish, lean red meat, cheese, eggs and whey powder. If you’re vegetarian, go for alternatives like legumes, tofu and tempeh.

Every meal should also contain an abundance of fresh vegetables or fruit with the addition of some essential fats like those found in nuts, seeds and natural oils.

Most people need to reduce high carbohydrate foods like sugar, bread, cereals, biscuits, pasta and rice. These foods can trigger inflammation in your body, worsening symptoms like a sore throat, muscle soreness, fatigue and liver inflammation. High carbohydrate foods can also cause your blood sugar to fluctuate, leaving you tired, irritable and craving sugar. And sugars have been shown to suppress your white blood cell activity. These are the very cells you rely on to hunt down and rid the Epstein Barr virus from your body.

Lastly eliminate the other foods which sap your healing process like coffee, tea, alcohol and processed foods. These foods are devoid of vitamins and minerals, offering empty calories and not much else.

Step 5 - Look After Your Emotional Well Being

Some of the simplest, but most powerful secrets that strengthen your body’s healing ability is laughter, joy and fun. I understand that these states don’t come easily when you are in the midst of battling mononucleosis, so you need to find ways to bring them into your life just the same.

It may be as easy as soaking up some sunshine, enjoying a phone call to a friend, a relaxing bath, a funny video, playing with the kids, looking through the family photo albums or taking a stroll along the beach or through a forest. Maybe you have an absorbing hobby or an interest which creates a sense of joy, well being and relaxation.

Many of my patients fail to connect the dots between their nonstop lifestyle and becoming infected with mononucleosis. If you run a machine continuously it will break down. It is the same with your body! If you give so much to your work, family and friends, then there is nothing left for you. Getting sick is not an accident - its inevitable.

Making time for your emotional well being is an integral part of your recovery. It is something that should be part of your daily routine now and forever more.

Step 6 - The Benefits of Sunlight and Gentle Exercise

Adequate sunlight, just like nutritious food, pure water and adequate rest, is essential to a strong, healthy immune system. If you want to make a full and complete recovery from mononucleosis, then sunshine should be part of your recovery program.

The benefits of sunlight have been known for thousands of years as a healing agent. Both Hippocrates and Pythagoras wrote about the healing powers of the sun. Even ancient temples were dedicated to healing people through sunlight. Ailments like TB, bone diseases like rickets, wounds and general convalescence were all prescribed sunlight. Today many of the leading sanitariums and health resorts around the world recommend sunlight to promote healing.

Studies show that exposing the body to sunlight or even ultraviolet light from an artificial source increases the number of white blood cells - the body’s primary defence against infection. Sunlight has also been shown to improve your mood and regulate your sleep patterns - both which can be problems in mononucleosis sufferers. I tell my mononucleosis patients to get 30 minutes of sunlight a day, just steer clear of the midday sun so you don’t get burnt.

Gentle exercise

If you’re in the acute stage of mononucleosis where you feel exhausted and can’t even contemplate exercise, then just get plenty of bed rest until you feel up to it. Your body needs rest in order to heal itself.

Your liver and spleen may also be enlarged, so exercising could be uncomfortable or even dangerous. I would recommend that you avoid heavy exercise or contact sports for at least a month after picking up mononucleosis, and always get a checkup from your doctor before doing anything too strenuous.

When you feel you are getting better, start doing some gentle exercise. For those suffering from a severe bout of mononucleosis, just walking to the letterbox and back, may be enough to start with.

As you get back to normal, aim to exercise at least three times a week for between 30 - 60 minutes. Five times a week is even more effective. This will get you breathing deeply, circulate your blood, improve your lymphatics, clear your head, and make you feel good.

For a complete guide to exercising when recovering from mononucleosis, check out my e-book and support program.

Step 7 - Rid Your Body Of Toxins

Did you know that the average person can have up to 10 kg of trapped, undigested food rotting in their bowels and leaking toxins into their system? This puts an enormous strain on the liver, whose job it is to purify the blood.

Mononucleosis sufferer’s livers are already compromised by the Epstein Barr virus which targets the liver and affects its function. If you have mononucleosis you simply cannot afford to slow your recovery by having a buildup of toxins in your system.

Even without having mononucleosis, toxins in the body can contribute to fatigue, bloating, constipation and diarrhea, devitalized skin, headaches and weight gain.

Have you ever heard the saying “Death begins in the bowel”? That statement comes from a Russian scientist, Elie Metchnikoff, who won the Noble is very true for those who don’t look after their bowel health!

A healthy bowel is fundamental for your well being. Most sick people have bowel problems, although sometimes they are not aware of it. However, if the bowel doesn’t get back to proper functioning, then all the therapies, supplements and treatments in the world are unlikely to be effective.

The first step to eliminating unhealthy toxins in the body is to do some gentle liver and bowel cleansing. Just starting with half a lemon squeezed into warm water on rising in the morning every day is a good bowel and liver tonic.

When you are over the acute early stage of mononucleosis, I recommend you do a yearly cleanse with one of the good colon cleansers available on the market.

For my patients I recommend a particularly good colon cleanser from Martha Volchok, an experienced Herbalist of over 25 years who co-founded the herb company - Blessed Herbs.

The Colon Cleansing Kit is a 9 day program based on frequent fibre drinks and herbs designed to remove old waste from your colon.

You can purchase a Colon Cleansing Kit (or a more comprehensive 'Internal Cleansing Kit') using the links below.

the Colon Cleansing Kit

the Internal Cleansing Kit

The most obvious benefits of removing toxins from the body are:

•  Relief from digestive complaints like constipation, bloating, gas and nausea

•  A feeling of renewed energy and vigor

•  A lighter, slimmer body - there is an average loss of 3 to 4 pounds after each such treatment.

•  Clearer skin

•  Better absorption of vitamins and minerals from foods

•  Improved immunity with less infections

If you have mononucleosis or are recovering from its ill effects, then doing a regular cleanse will magnify your healing potential, and get you feeling good again.

What others are saying...

There is hope for a full recovery...

Your information is awesome, stunning, brilliant...I am so thoroughly impressed!!!!

I'm thrilled to report that my glands and strange throat are subsiding - don't feel like I'm being throttled anymore...I'm improving without a doubt.

At least I know what I am are dealing with and there is hope for a full recovery. It's a whole different thing when you share with someone who has actually suffered with chronic glandular fever. That's why I love your site, you've been there and address it magnificently, and as you say, you know what works and what doesn't.

God Bless,”

When I stick to the diet my symptoms disappear

I have definitely made progress. This is the first winter that I did not catch a cold, everyone around me did but I did not get sick. When I stick to the diet my symptoms disappear. The nutrients help a lot with my allergies and increase my energy levels tremendously. My skin looks much better and my eyes are not that yellow anymore.

I will not allow stress to knock me down anymore. I stay calm and do what I can do and that's it. I sleep so much better! Thank you for always responding so quickly on my e-mails. You are a true blessing.

Cecilia S, Pretoria South Africa

My sore throat is gone and I'm losing weight

I've been so happy with your book as not only is my sore throat pretty much gone, but due to the changes in my diet I'm also losing weight which is an unexpected surprise!

Last week I was able to do my dancing (either rehearsals or classes) every day, except for Sunday, without feeling to bad. This is a HUGE improvement for me and one that raises my spirits as I live to dance!

I am taking all of the supplements you mentioned along with the protein diet and lots of water so it sounds like I'm on the right track. And I'm only on my 2nd week of following your instructions so things are looking good!

Thanks, Charis, Maroochydore, QLD Australia

You have no idea how much this means to our family...

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for your rapid replies! You have no idea how much this means to our family.

I really noticed a difference with my son once he started taking the recommended amounts of vitamins and minerals you suggested. Within a week of taking them I noticed a HUGE improvement in his eyes!

His recent blood tests were very good. He was not anemic, his liver enzymes were good, his mononucleosis count good but his white blood cells were a little low. The chest x-ray was clear. He has been eating great! He returned to school on Nov. 27, and hockey on Nov. 30, Our coach has eased him back into it.

Thank you so much again for your time and support. I credit you with getting Tyler back on the path to good health!"

I can always find a way to ease off the symptoms...

“First of all, many thanks for your timely consultations with me about my mononucleosis. I am definitely feeling the benefit of the supplements you suggested.

Having rested 3 days, I started to take a gentle outdoor walk today, and it seems OK so far. I wish I had known about you and your book 2 months earlier, and it could have helped me so much when I was so desperate and helpless. I'm now content that I can always find a way to ease off the symptoms.

I finally had time to read the preface of your book today. I was very touched by your own story, and feel so lucky to be able to get in touch. Thank you so much for sharing this experience and comprehensive information to those who most need it.”

Kind Regards,
Dr Liang L. Swindon UK

He is completely back to his old self...

"I am glad to report that my son seems to be completely back to his old self. We had a big family Sunday lunch and he was back to eating "normally". He does not seem to be lethargic at all. I don't know if it is common for children his age to recover so quickly!

Thank you very much for your support!"
